DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Prayer Beads, or Malas are used both as a meditation or prayer tool and as jewelry.
Malas date back thousands of years. Their history originated during the 8th-century in India. The word “bead” originates in the the old english word for prayer, biddan.
108 has long been considered a sacred number in many religions and cultures.
This long continuous strand is made of Tiger's eye stones. In their rich brown and autumnal hues, no two of the stones are alike.
Caramel, merlot and sometimes navy coloured Tiger's eye stones are believed to symbolize confidence and courage with a grounding, protective energy used to take action.
Finished with a shimmering hand-knotted burgundy wine cotton tassle, this 43" continuous strand makes a beautiful statement.
